Spiritual
Care
For many, hospitalization is more than a physical crisis – it’s
often a test of faith. At St. John’s, we know how important
spirituality is to general well-being and coping with illness.
St. John’s Pastoral
Services chaplains are available to assist patients and families as
they search for meaning and support during their journey. Spiritual
care is available to all patients and family members, regardless of
religious preference or beliefs.
Our
chaplaincy staff
is
professionally trained and diverse in religious makeup. We respond
24 hours a day in the hospital to meet the many and varied needs of
those we serve. A Roman Catholic priest is on staff and available
for sacramental needs.
Our chapel,
which is always open, is located on the 6th floor. It is
an excellent place for prayer and reflection. Catholic Mass is
offered at 7a.m. Monday through Friday and at 8 a.m. Sunday. An
interdenominational service is offered at 10 a.m. on Sunday. All
services are televised on hospital channel 7.
