ST. JOHN’S
LEBANON CO-WORKER RECEIVES MERCY SERVICE AWARD
Heidi
Choiniere is the recipient of this year’s St. John’s Mercy Service Award for
providing exceptional service and exemplifying the Mercy Spirit, at the
annual St. John’s Service Awards Banquet held earlier this month. The St.
John’s Mercy Service Appreciation Awards Program is a system-wide
recognition program based on providing a safe, high-quality, compassionate
environment for patients, visitors and co-workers.
Heidi works in physical therapy at St. John’s Lebanon for just over a year,
but in that short time she has made a lasting impression on her fellow
co-workers who nominated her for the award.
Last Christmas Heidi exemplified the Mercy Sprit when she noticed a house
that had burned down. Together with her husband, she extended hospitality
to the family by offering them a place to live on their property for free.
This allowed the family to celebrate Christmas in a completely furnished and
stocked house. Her ability to go above and beyond in another’s time of need
truly demonstrates the Mercy Spirit.
