St. John's Hospital - Lebanon breaks
ground on Curry Cancer Center Feb. 22, 2007
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the
new Curry Cancer Center and major expansions to the emergency department and
the medical surgical units at St. John's Hospital-Lebanon took place 2 p.m,
Feb 22, 2007 at the hospital, in front of the Emergency Department entrance.
"It's an exciting time for the foundation, the hospital and the community,"
says St. John's Vice President Karen Simpson. "Many people have donated
generously to help see this day come. It's the first step in seeing their
hard work, donations and support take shape."
Simpson says events such as the annual St. John's-Lebanon Heritage
Foundation's Fantasy Gala as well as gifts from individuals, families and
businesses are making the new facilities and expansions possible as
demonstrated through the groundbreaking ceremonies.
Representatives from the hospital, foundation, city and St. John's Health
System participated in the groundbreaking. Limited commemorative bricks will
be sold to mark the event.
