A nationally accredited sleep disorders center.

Appointments

Referrals to the Sleep Disorders Center frequently come from the patient’s primary care physician. Please be sure to check with your health care insurance company to confirm coverage and requirements.

If you don't have a primary care physician, you may schedule an appointment with us by calling 417-820-5467. Our board-certified sleep specialist, Dr. John Brabson, can order a sleep study for you.

St. John’s Sleep Disorders Center, located on the third floor of St. John's Hospital, is a nationally accredited, full-service sleep disorders center.

We diagnose and set up treatment for a variety of sleep disorders. The sleep techs, nurse practitioners and board-certified neurologists and pulmonologist at the Sleep Disorders Center help patients with all types of sleep disorders, the most common being obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia.

During your initial Sleep Disorders Center appointment, you will receive a brief physical examination along with a comprehensive interview to review symptoms, complaints, and overall patient health history. Please bring your completed health questionnaire, which will be mailed to you, with you to your first appointment.

You may be scheduled for a sleep study. If so, you will also be taken on a tour of the Sleep Lab, including a brief video describing about sleep studies.

Location, Parking and Overnight

The Sleep Disorders Center is located on the third floor of the north side of St. John’s Hospital.

The north parking lot offers convenient parking. Please take the elevator after entering the northwest entrance and follow the signs on the third floor to  the Sleep Disorders Center.

Out-of-town patients arriving for sleep studies may arrange to have a transporting family member or friend stay for free at St. John’s Hospitality House. Please call Hospitality House at 417-820-2102 to reserve a room.
