Tips On…Car Seat Safety

Remember to use infant car seats safely. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends babies be placed in rear-facing child safety seats until they are at least 20 pounds and one year old to reduce the risk of injury. Infants who weigh 20 pounds before one year of age should ride rear-facing in a convertible seat, or infant seat approved for higher weights, until they are one year old.
