Ear Protection

Industrial audiology includes providing baseline and annual evaluations for monitoring hearing levels of employees exposed to damaging noise. This is essential in fighting progressive noise induced hearing loss. Each year, hearing levels can be compared to check for a significant shift in hearing. If a significant change is noted, our audiologists can recommend customized hearing protection, test the effectiveness of that protection, or recommend further medical evaluation if deemed necessary. The effect of noise exposure is often not apparent until after the damage has occurred. Annual audiograms can help the employee identify the change before they perceive a change, and lessen the effects through proper hearing protection usage.
