Taught by registered nurses, this class is an opportunity for grandparents ONLY to refamiliarize themselves with infant care techniques and discuss their special role in the family. Each class includes information on infant feediing, safety, CPR, changes in the family that occur as a result of the new member, and a tour of St. John's Labor & Delivery. Grandparents also are invited to the new parents breastfeeding classes to learn more about current breastfeeding practices. (Pre-registration is required). It is our hope that this class helps build strong family units by reinforcing the special role grandparents play within the family.
